Things continued to go downhill this morning. The big guns showed some audio
around 1400UT, but what enhancement there was at 1500UT, was mid-band, and very
erratic and short-lived. Without the DXFishbarrel, I probably wouldn't have
heard what I did. Local noise kicking in at 1500UT didn't help.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
not today
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
still nothing
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
594 likely JOAK with light instrumental mx 1454UT
828 JOBB woman in JJ 1455UT; best NHK2 of the morning, actually, strongest DX of
the morning
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
747 man talking slowly, JJ cadence 1508UT, no parallels available!
774 man talking, JJ cadence 1457UT
891 JOHK man talking 1501UT //594
945 CNR1 woman talking //6125 1459UT, then gone as quickly as it came
954 tuned in to 2 short pips (may have missed one) and one long one on the hour
1500UT, high pitched woman's voice JJ inflection, presumed JOKR
972 woman talking, 1502UT, too weak for language, presumed HLCA
1566 light mx 1456UT, presumably HLAZ
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
nothing much; anything with a good carrier eventually produced the audios noted
above
best wishes,
Nick
