The post attached below is basically all hype. The solar flare was small and
most of the ejected electrons and protons in the coronal mass ejection (CME)
will miss our planet.
As far as a negative impact to MF AM broadcast band radio wave propagation
conditions, some of the incoming protons could increase D layer absorption
of MF signals on high and mid latitude paths on the sun facing side of our
planet. But it's doubtful that that will happen.
However some of the incoming electrons could increase E layer absorption
(auroral conditions as we call them) of MF radio signals on high, mid and
low latitude paths. The low latitude path absorption would be caused by
incoming electrons precipitating down magnetic field lines in a spiral
fashion into the equatorial ring current.
The latter is doubtful and the former probable but in a minor way.

"A long-lasting solar flare erupted from the sun early Saturday (Feb. 9),
triggering an intense sun eruption aimed squarely at Earth. The solar storm,
however, should not endanger satellites or astronauts in space, but could
amplify auroras on Earth, NASA says. The solar eruption ?called a coronal
mass ejection ?occurred at 2:30 a.m. EST (0730 GMT) on Saturday during a
minor, but long-duration, flare. It hurled a wave of charged particles at
Earth at speeds of about 1.8 million miles per hour (nearly 2.9 million
km/h).
The sun eruption was captured in photos by the Solar and Heliospheric
Observatory (SOHO), a joint mission by NASA and the European Space Agency."
