At several checks after 1400UT this morning, things were fairly
abysmal. Then, a quick (10 minutes?) sunrise boost started around
1530UT,bringing several upper band stations to at least some audio
traces. But the bottom dropped out at 1540UT; one minute I was
listening to the first bars of the Japanese anthem on 1602, the next,
even 1566 had gone.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
too much to hope for
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1566 HLAZ man in CC 1536UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
1593 CNR1 man and woman in CC //6125 1538UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
1278 man talking, maybe CC cadence??? and no 1287 didn't appear at
all this morning
1602 NHK2 light mx, then man talking 1537UT; first bars of JJ anthem
at 1540, then the bottom dropped out
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
1242 1296 1323 1404 (quite strong, but still no audio) 1503
best wishes,
Nick
