[IRCA] TP's for Monday, December 10, 2012

It was a fun morning here in Kalama, WA for TP Dxing. Upper channels were better than the lower channels. Long wave had a lot of noise. TP signals favored the NW-ewe over the W-SW ewe. I guess the signals were coming from a more Northerly path? Unknown station heard on 1584 with very weak audio. Have heard audio before on this channel, but never able to ID any station. Did not DX on this date in 2011, so no comparison to list. Have a great week.   

153    RUSSIA, Komosomolsk, Radio Rossii 1415-1418 poor  signal with man in Russian. 1451 fair with music NW ewe.12/10/2012


189    RUSSIA, Petropavlovsk, Radio Rossii 1419 very weak  signal with man in Russian HPAW. 12/10/2012


209    ALASKA, Yakataga, CYT 1419 poor signal with weather forecast and just a few zulus making it through. HPAW. 12/10/2012 


279    RUSSIA, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Radio Rossii 1418 very weak signal with music. NW ewe. 12/10/2012


594    JAPAN, Tokyo, JOAK NHK1 1455 for out of the noise to fair signal with piano music and man in Japanese. NW ewe. 12/10/2012


774    JAPAN, Akita, JOUB NHK2 1425 fair signal with woman in Japanese and heavy splatter W-SW ewe. 12/10/2012


828    JAPAN, Osaka, JOBB NHK 2 1506- weak signal rising to fair signal with man in Japanese. NW ewe. 12/10/2012


972    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Dangjin, HLCA  KBS Hanminjok Bangsong 1508 weak signal with man in Korean. Moderate KUFO splatter. NW ewe. 12/10/2012


1044   CHINA, Changzhou, CRI 1513 weak signal with woman in Japanese. NW ewe. 12/10/2012


1386   JAPAN, Morioka, JOQC NHK2 1530-1534 assuming the Northern Japanese station with weak signal with music and Japanese talk. NHK2 //'s stations not being heard this time. NW ewe. 12/10/2012

1422   JAPAN, Yokohama, JORF RF, RF Radio Nippon 1537 weak signal with man in Japanese. NW ewe. 12/10/2012 

1503   JAPAN, Akita, JOUK NHK1 1539 very weak signal with man in Japanese. NW ewe. 12/10/2012


1566  REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Cheju, HLAZ FEBC 1431 poor signal with bits of audio making it through. W-SW ewe. Excellent signal at 1540 with woman in Chinese. NW ewe. 12/10/2012


1575   THAILAND, Ban Phachi, VOA 1541-1543  fair signal with woman and man in Burmese. (PALs) NW ewe. 12/10/2012


1584    UNKNOWN, 1546 very weak audio. This channel seems to be the TP graveyard channel. Japanese low power NHK1 stations. NW ewe. 12/10/2012 

1593   CHINA, Changzhou CNR1 1447-1449 very weak signal with some Chinese heard and moderate KOHI splatter. 1559 still around fighting KOHI splatter. NW- ewe. 12/10/2012
