There was a reasonable sunrise enhancement here after 1500UT, at
least above 1300kHz, but couldn't spend time digging things out this
morning . And the overnight recordings failed due to a local
overnight power outage. Here are some snippets heard on the way to
doing other things.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
1566 HLAZ vocal mx at 1514UT
1575 instrumental mx 1522UT, presumably VoA, then it stopped, and
restarted again, then a strange hummy OC noted around 1524UT, with
some pop mx under it, dial tone, then same mx. Transmitter problems?
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1503 JOUK, man in JJ 1512UT, and pretty much any other time this was checked
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
1287 JOHR man in JJ 1516UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
945 CNR1 man talking //6125 1523UT
1143 woman talking 1518UT
1242 JOLF "cuckoo" pips on hour 1500UT
1332 pop mx, then man and woman talking 1515UT
1386 JAPAN, NHK2 synchros, JOQC Morioka most likely? woman talking,
then light mx, //774 which was pretty weak also at this time (1522UT)
1422 JORF? man talking 1513UT, but too weak for language, strong
carrier though.
1593 CNR1 man in CC 1519UT, //6125
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
1098
best wishes,
Nick
