[IRCA] Oklahoma TP DX 11/09/12
It was the best TP DX morning of the season here so far. I listened from 0733
to 1326 GMT hearing several Japanese stations (local sunrise at 1301).
558-unID, het at 1228.
594-JOAK, Tokyo, poor with YL talking in JJ at 1230-1235. Fair at 1303-1307 with
JJ talk, gradually fading to barely audible at 1312.
693-JOAB, Tokyo, barely audible with man reading Met report at 1316-1318.
720-unID, strong het over 720-XEDE.
729-unID, mild het adjacent 730-KKDA.
747-JOIB, Sapporo, OM & YL talking in JJ at 0919. Signal was in and out of
750-WSB QRM until 1152.
774-JOUB, Akita, first heard at 0733 (Akita sunrise at 0729). Signal audible
most of the morning. Last heard at fair strength with "Radio English" at
1245-1247.
828-unID (JOBB?), mild het heard at 1247, fading out at 1326.
891-unID, strong het from northwest adjacent 890-KTLR & WLS at 1249.
954-unID, barely audible signal, too weak to ID - possibly JOKR, Tokyo.
1287-unID (JOHR?), trace of signal, no audio.
1503-unID (JOIK?), trace of signal, no audio, at 0754.
The most enjoyable part of the morning was the post-sunrise reception of
594-JOAK. John Bryant always told me this was the best time to hear the
station here.
Hoping your DX this morning was was much better, good DX.
Richard Allen,
near Perry OK USA.
