4 Russian long waves heard this morning. MW receptions were good. Did not listen on this date in 2011, so no comparisons. Believe I heard China on 603 mixing with HLSA from 1442-1451 utc. Signals were nearly equal strengths. 4 Japanese second tier stations received this morning along with 2 Chinese stations. VOR 648 was running a test tone before sign on at 1500 utc. At 1517 Japanese powerhouse station are still being heard.  Have a nice week.

594    JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1306 fair signal with man in Japanese. Moderate splatter. NW ewe. 11/05/2012

603    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLSA 1442-1451  fair signal with music. W-SW ewe. 11/05/2012

639    CHINA, CNR1 1452 weak signal mixing with another Asian station with echo effect. CNR1 // 6030. W-SW ewe. 11/05/2012

648    RUSSIA, VOR 1457 huge carrier with no audio. Test tone on for 5 seconds and off for 5 seconds. 1500:10 utc fair signal with woman in Korean. (PALs). NW-ewe. 11/05/2012

657    DPR KOREA, 1314 weak to fair signal at times with fast talking woman. NW-ewe. 11/05/2012

693    JAPAN, JOAB NHK2 1315 fair signal with moderate splatter with man in Japanese. NW ewe. 11/05/2012
