[IRCA] Oklahoma TP DX 10/30/12
While there was evidence of numerous Asian signals, only two stations produced
audio early in the session. 747-JOIB and 774-JOUB were heard at fair strength on
a barefoot PL-310 at 1033-1044 GMT. Otherwise it was only audible heterodynes
from 558-HLQH(?), 702-unID, 828-JOBB and 972-HLCA. Also, traces of signals on
567, 657, 693, 1134, 1287, 1566 and 1593 kHz. Except for the hets on 828 and
972, all were gone by sunrise at 1251 GMT. Overall, I was disappointed more
wasn't heard.
A strong het from DU was audible on 891 kHz (5AN?) at 1254-1302 GMT. Also,
1130-CKWX was fair over KWKH at 1020 GMT.
Receivers: PL-310 with 7-inch FSL.
Good DX all.
Richard Allen,
near Perry OK USA.
