Odd morning, first thing I heard was an apparent JOAK-594 at 1337UT,
yet generally things were DU again, poorish, and a little light on
the IDs this morning, as parallels were hard to find due to erratic
nature of the signals. Domestic splatter seemed high, so even
strong carriers weren't delivering audio. Things seemed better at
1345 than at 1415UT, so no sunrise enhancement noted.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
none
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
none
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
594 JOAK First heard at 1337 w/woman talking, which sounded more CC
than JJ, but a little later man in definite JJ
612 4QR man talking DU EE 1419UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
576 woman talking, very weak 1404UT
702 2BL woman talking quietly //612
756 woman talking 1418UT
774 likely 3LO. man talking, seemed //612 at 1421UT
891 light mx 1339UT
909 slow vocal mx 1414UT, similar to Southern Star webstream
1503 man talking 1359UT, seemed to have a DU flavor, and no pips at 1400
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
531 567 1098 1566
best wishes,
Nick
