Hello All,
The bizarre solar conditions produced another DU-slanted morning here, with the results even more twisted than usual. A very rare Australian pattern of carriers formed on 612, 792 and 828 kHz around 1345, and two of them (612 and 792) even reached threshold audio for a few seconds before dropping out like a rock. The usual (for this week) pattern of NZ carriers never showed up, and 738-Tahiti's signal was not up to its usual fair-good level. Once again 1575-VOA was the only Asiatic TP with any kind of signal, managing a moderate carrier throughout the session. Overall it was another mediocre morning, but the reception of any audio from Australia had not happened here for over a year. If the DU conditions continue like this, our planned trip to Cannon Beach next month may be more interesting than expected.
