[IRCA] TP's & DU's for Monday, October 08, 2012

Listened from 1214-1430 utc. Started out very slow this morning. Only one Russian long wave heard. TP reception picked up around 1330 utc followed by DU's before sunrise.
2NR had a nearly good signal for a few seconds before falling to a fair signal. 2 unknown stations on 567 & 756 were heard. NHK2 had Japanese & English speakers with a mention of Okinawa at 1419 utc. Nothing heard above 828 kHz. K at 6 made for interesting receptions. Have a nice Monday.


279    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1214 very weak signal with man in Russian. W-SW ewe. 10/08/2012

567    UNKNOWN, 1315-1319 very weak signal with talk & music. Moderate splatter. W-SW ewe. Guessing a DU station. NZR? 10/08/2012

594    JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1347 fast talking Japanese speakers with weak signal. NW ewe. 10/08/2012

693    JAPAN, JOAB NHK2 1330 very weak signal. Moderate splatter. "Radio English Conversation" program. NW ewe. Fair signal at 1419 with Japanese and English news. Report on Okinawa. W-SW ewe. 10/08/2012

702    UNKNOWN, 1424-1427 weak signal with woman in Asian language. Did not match DPRK programming on 3250. Did not sound like NHK2. W-SW ewe. 10/08/2012

738    TAHITI, Radio Polynesie 1216-1219 very weak to fair signal in two minutes with man in French. Moderate splatter from KCBS. W-SW ewe. 10/08/2012


738    AUSTRALIA, 2NR 1411-1414 nearly good signal for about 15 seconds. Match live stream. "Nightlife" show. SW ewe. 10/08/2012.    

756    UNKNOWN, DU 1351-1359 steady jazz music with weak signal. Splatter wipe out at 1359. Did not match any of Aussie or NZR live streams. 

774    JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1332 weak to fair //693. Moderate splatter. Good at 1401 W-SW ewe. 10/08/2012

828    JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1401 good signal with Japanese. NW ewe. 10/08/2012
