TP conditions down this morning. Even the big Japanese powerhouse stations had a hard time producing audio here. Mystery station on 1476 showed up this morning for a much longer period and with a better signal. Almost fair at times in what seems to be a Asian language? Could this be the new MW Chinese 200 kw transmitter that DPR of Korea purchased earlier this year? It was not // to 3250 or 2850. Have to go there is a cow elk by the apple tree eating apples, time to take a picture. Listened from 1212-1418 utc.

153    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1212-1217 good signal POP songs with Russian talk between songs. HPAW. 09/24/2012

171    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1219-1220 poor signal just above threshold audio. HPAW. 09/24/2012

180    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1221 poor signal. HPAW 09/24/2012

189    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1221 good signal with man singing. HPAW. 09/24/2012

234    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1224 poor signal with man singing. HPAW. 09/24/2012

279    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1225 good signal with end of above song. Man in Russian. HPAW 09/24/2012

594    JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1339 weak signal and // 1503. HPAW 09/24/2012

693    JAPAN, JOAB NHK2 1349 fair signal with woman in Japanese. NW ewe. 09/24/2012


738    TAHITI, Radio Polynesie 1313-1316 weak with music followed by man in French. HPAW 09/24/2012

747    JAPAN, JOIB NHK2 weak at 1345 with woman in Japanese. Heavy splatter. NW ewe. 09/24/2012

774    JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 fair at 1317 with man in Japanese. Battered in splatter by KTTH. 09/24/2012

828    JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 poor signal at 1320 with bits of Japanese heard. NW ewe. 09/24/2012 

972    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLCA 1356 in late with man in Korean, weak signal and moderate splatter. 

1287   JAPAN, JOHR HBC 1353 weak with woman in Japanese. NW ewe. 09/24/2012. 

1476   UNKNOWN, 1323 poor audio with bit of audio of unknown language heard. Moderate splatter. Weak signal at 1646-1647 with music. 1359 very weak with music. 1400 woman in unknown language.  This morning the longest reception and best signal this season on this unknown signal. NW ewe. 09/24/2012. 

1566   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ FEBC 1229 fair with man in Chinese. 1230 antenna switch to Japanese and signal improved to good. 

1503   JAPAN, JOUK NHK1 1338-1349 fair signal at times with man in Japanese. // to a weak JOAK 594. NW ewe. 09/24/2012

1575   THAILAND, VOA 1532 fair signal with woman in Lao. (PALs). NW ewe.09/24/2012
