Yes, it was a mostly Asiatic, and mostly low band morning here, as
Dennis observed, though I think Dennis was getting more quality
observations. Peak seemed to be around 1320UTC.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
none
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
774 JOUB popped up at various times, but strongest 1319 during the
NHK2 wx reports, and though it was fading by 1320, I managed to hear
the "JOUB" voice ID by a man
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
747 JOIB man talking at 1254 and 1331, and likely other times //774
972 likely HLCA w/mx at 1314UT building to woman talking, lots of 970
splatter, so hard to ID language, but had inflection that seemed KK
1053 jammer peaking about 1319UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
567 woman talking at 1339UT, but too weak for language ID, by this
time might have been DU
612 woman talking 1341UT, may have been 4QR, but 567 had faded by now
828 JOBB man talking //774
891 light pop sounding mx at 1329 w/SAH, woman talking sounded like
DU inflection
1566 man talking at 1307UT, woman talking 1326UT, HLAZ?
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
594, 603 SAH, 702 rough carrier, N. Korea in there?, 738, 1287
best wishes,
Nick
