With all the excitement in the midwest, it was quite a poor morning
here, some Asiatic signs, practically no DU outside of 738, and that
was not nearly as clear as the Michigan recording, with its lack of
splatter. I'd be embarrassed to post mine after hearing Tim's!
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
none
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
none
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:
none
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
738 woman talking 0859, also 1229 w/man talking; 1300UT man talking,
nx sounder, then woman talking. FF inflection, but not strong at all.
1287 1315UT JJ inflected woman talking
1566 woman talking slowly at 1317 and for the next 5 minutes or
so. Almost sounded Tagalog inflection, but think it must have been
JJ. Rather more subdued quality than the bulk of HLAZ' JJ speakers
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
828 at 1100UT, a SAH by 1300, but no audio, 1098, 1548
best wishes,
Nick
