[IRCA] TP's & DU's for Friday, August 10, 2012



5 Radio Rossii stations heard this morning.  Signals varied from very weak to 2 stations with good signals.  Radio Polynesie struggle to a weak signal just before sunrise. JOIB 747 believed to be the station heard with weak signal, would be first for this season on this station. 

153     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1213-1215 fair signal with static with woman in Russian,                       followed by woman singing.
180     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1216 good signal with woman singing and slight static.
189     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1218 good signal with above music.
209     ALASKA, 1219 fair with weather forecast for Alaska area.
234     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1220 very weak with music.
279     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1221 weak with music followed by man in Russian 1566.
                Fair signal at 1244 with Jazz music.
738     TAHITI, Radio Polynesie 1246 poor signal with some splatter. Signal very weak
                at 1258 with woman in French briefly.  Weak signal at 1302 with man in
                French.  
747     JAPAN,  JOIB NHK2 1238-1240 believed to be the station in and out with a weak                     signal.
594     JAPAN,  JOAK NHK1 1242 steady weak signal with woman in Japanese.
891     AUSTRALIA? 1253 poor audio with talk. SW ewe really helps cut down the splatter
                   from KJDQ ID.  
1566    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1233 tuned on this channel waiting for conditions to
                improve, audio heard with weak to fair signal in seconds. Woman in
                Japanese.
