Thanks for the report Dennis.   Here there was audio on 1503 before 
1200UT, sounded a lot like horse racing in the announcer's overall 
excitement, but I suspected a sporting event of some kind.   What was 
really interesting is that it was parallel to 1548 at the time, both 
stations battling with the splatter, so not too readable.   I would 
think 1548 was almost certainly 4QD, but why then would it be 
parallel with a presumed NZ station?  Of course neither ID'd across the hour.

OK, I checked Radio Sport's website and they include a DXer's dream: 
http://www.radiosport.co.nz/listen-on-demand/weekondemand/   last 
week's audio.   Sure enough, seems to have been a rugby game 
involving New South Wales and Queensland, which in fact took place 4 
July in Sydney:  New South Wales Blues vs Queensland Maroons.   I 
don't know if Radio Sport was running an ABC feed, as the ABC site 
was not nearly so DXer friendly.  But hearing both of these stations 
at the same time with the same program was a cut above what has been 
normal fare of late.
