Re: [IRCA] On the cover of Pop Comm

Thanks Colin,

Your post about the July issue of Popular Communications was the first idication I had about any such article, so it was news to me. Bruce Conti had sent me a few questions by email a few months back, but I had no idea that Ultralight Radio would be a major topic.

With well over 1,000 members now in out Ultralightdx Yahoo group, it has certainly been a team effort to explore this exciting niche of the AM-DXing hobby-- especially considering the huge contributions of John Bryant, Rob Ross, Richard Allen, Allen Willie and many others. No individual has any legitimate claim to "rock star" status :-)

I imagine rock starts want to appear on the cover of
the Rolling Stone...

We radio geeks - well, we have CQ, QSL, Popular Communications
and Monitoring Times.

So. While I was at my local book and magazine shop
I noticed that Gary DeBock on the cover of
the latest issue of Popular Communications.

The topic: Ultra-light radio listening.

Congrats to Gary for getting this great facet of the
radio hobby some much deserved exposure.
