Morning guys!
Just talked with SW and I have the following correction
to my writings:
It was was not the attenuation of signals from back that
SW measured, but it was
the antenna FORWARD GAIN. The auxiliary antenna was in
front of the antenna used for reception. For each new rod he put into ground he
got 1 dB gain and SNR in reception and this continued up to 6 rods- So he
got a total gain of 5 dB and that is pretty much- almost
doubled gain and that is of course by getting better directivity. That is pretty
cool actually. More than 6 rods didn´t increase the gain any more. SW has not tested the from back attenuation. Attenuation of signals
from back I will test this fall in Siuntion as I have great
possibilities for that. That is very interesting. I have only sand there but I
will see if I can get NA-bentonite to get a better ground for the resistor
termination. I will report what I´ll find out in due time.
So stay tuned......
