[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 2-21
Hello All,
Some Asiatic TP's showed rare strength this morning during sunrise
enhancement around 1445 while testing out the new 5" FSL with a stock
Tecsun PL-380. Both 594-JOAK and 747-JOIB were coming in very well,
with 657-Pyongyang and 558-HLQH not far behind. A rare break in the
rain provided a chance to take the new antenna outside on a PVC base in
the back yard, where it provided some vibrant TP reception. 594-JOAK
was the star of the morning, briefly hitting 25 (the maximum) on the
PL-380's S/N display during interval music around 1448.
558 HLQH Daegu, S. Korea Presumed the one with fair music at 1438,
but 603 // was too weak to confirm identity
594 JOAK Tokyo, Japan Very strong with interval music and Japanese
talk at 1448

648 VOR Razdolnoye, Russia Fair Russian music fighting it out with
650-CISL splatter at 1454 (and usually losing)
657 Pyongyang, N. Korea Fair signal in and out with ancient music
and female soloist

747 JOIB Sapporo, Japan Good signal in KXL splatter with Japanese
talk around 1442
972 HLCA Dangjin, S. Korea Fair male-female Korean conversation in
and out of 970 splatter around 1438
1053 Korean Jammer Nice buzz this morning, with programming as
interesting as 657-Pyongyang
73 and Good DX,
