Re: [IRCA] Whatever happened to David Reitz? (was: Whatever happened to Tim Hall)

Jeff Kadet still is a big collector of TV Guides, but he lives in Macomb, Illinois, just on the other side of town from Frank Merrill.  Alan Merriman's participation in the DX hobby goes WAAAAY back, to the 1950s, and he was still coming to NRC conventions as recently as 2002.  He didn't make it to Omaha this past October, so he may be retired from DXing now, I dunno.

And I agree, an archival database sounds like a fun idea.  While I was in IRCA the first time around, the 25th Anniversary issue of DX Monitor came out, in March 1989.  In it, there were dozens of photos of members past and (then) present, along with a reprint of the first issue of DX Monitor from 1964.  Later in 1989, I phoned Ric Heald during a get-together that he hosted, and I believe I talked to Jim Hiliker during that conversation, too.

Rick,

I don't know the guy you are looking for, but do remember Jeff Kadet of Maryland I think. He always had some great loggings. I think he was a big collector of TV Guides....or am I dreaming?

I would love to know where a bunch of folks are...like Alan Merriman, of VA. We should  have some sort of archival database!
