[IRCA] MINIATURE KSAN TOWER

No doubt about it, Scott Fybush's annual tower calendar is the best of its kind around - but why not have your own tower?

I was just reading an article in the newsletter of Broadcast Legends, a group of about 250 former heavies in SF Bay Area broadcasting and someone is making a replica of the old KSAN/KEST/KSOL-1450 tower which was atop the Merchandise Mart Building on Market St. until it was dismantled in November 1974.

The tower is 10.89" tall and .62" wide at the base and has the expected international orange and white stripes. It costs $30 (you put it together) or $70 (pre-assembled) and is made of phosphor bronze. Work out details with Tommy Spargo, tommy5555@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx or 408/979-9789. I am just the messenger; I do not know Tommy and have no interest in it. I am tempted, however, since in my youth, I built and then painted a balsa wood replica of the old WQAM tower...
