[IRCA] August 14-16 Oregon Cliff Ultralight DXpedition Report

Hello All,

For those interested in the challenges and rewards of setting up an
Ultralight DXing station on a 400' high ocean side cliff with one of
the new Ferrite Sleeve Loop antennas, a 6-page file describing the
August 14-16 Medium Wave DXpedition to the "Rockwork" Oregon ocean
coast view site has been uploaded to
http://www.mediafire.com/?u34c3rm2ycqmy60 .

Based on the concept that a stock Ultralight radio could receive highly
exotic DX if assisted by one of the new FSL's in such an awesome
location, the file describes the experience of chasing South Pacific DX
out in the weather for three early morning sessions, with supreme gain
boosts from both the salt water environment and high cliff altitude.
The highly compact FSL's finally reached their maximum potential iby
providing high gain in the extremely tight space, as South Pacific
stations like 603-Waatea, 684-NZ Rhema and 765-Radio Kahungunu breezed
in with local-like signals. With DXpedition photos and many MP3
recording links, the article should be of interest to any DXer looking
for an exciting new way to enjoy the latest improvement in highly
portable antennas.

73 and Good DX,
Gary DeBock (in Puyallup, WA, USA)
