[IRCA] TP for 28 September 2011 from Victoria: barely there

As you may know, I just spent a week on Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte
Islands) where propagation to Asia is just about always great. Even with
really marginal conditions down here, I was hearing plenty of really good
stuff there. This morning was my first attempt at listening again in
Victoria. All were heard on my large diameter West corner fed loop. I've
had to remove my temporary Pennant since the return of my YL, so it's now
stored in the garage until her next extended visit to Haida Gwaii ;-) In
any case, my W loop seems to be doing very well since changing my 4:1
matching transformer for a home built 16:1.
This morning things were quite dismal, as seen also on Nick's DX
Fishbarrel. SF 139, A 29 (!), and K at 12:00 of 4. Minor storms for the
past and next 24 hours predicted. Everything heard this morning seemed to
be DU. "6" level (at threshold only) unless otherwise noted. Listened
between 13:05 and 14:00.

612
738: 7 level
774
792: 7 level
936,1314, 1512, and 1548

Ouch! That's it for the day. Tomorrow's always another day!
73s,......Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC
