Hi Kaz,
For some strange reason, 891-5AN seems to have quite different
propagation than the eastern Australians, at least on the Pacific coast
during summer DXing sessions on Oregon beaches. During unusual
Kiwi-slanted propagation last July it was still being received at
pretty vibrant levels, when all the eastern Australians were
practically DOA. The opposite case is also quite common, at least right
on the ocean beach.

I continue to remain amazed at how well you and Steve get 891, compared
to the
fact that it has never been more than a weak het here and usually not
even that.
Here in WI/IL almost all the action remains on 702 and 738 and the same
for Tim
in western MI. The issue here with 891 is not WLS, but simply that fact
that the
added hop into the midwest isn't making it.

Once again, here in southern Alberta, all the action was DU with
nothing to be heard from Asia. Audio noted:
684 - Peaked into threshold audio with man speaking at 1242
828 - traces of audio now and again
891 - ABC Adelaide was again the best DU signal by a considerable
margin, coming up in time for the ABC news at 1230, and staying at a
fair level for the next 20 minutes.
1116 - 4BC with feeble audio except for a brief peak aroung 1242.
1548 - bits of audio through the 1550 splatter
1566 - reached threshold audio level briefly around 1243. Pretty
certain it was DU, not Korea, so likely 3NE, which was logged here
last
season several times.
