[IRCA] Antenna/Ground interaction

An interesting thing happened after I disconnected the NW EWE and hooked
up the old vertical. Suddenly I noticed the directivity on the SW EWE
changed back to where it used to be. For sometime I noticed the null on
KGNW 820 Seattle to get Waldport has not been as tight. It was hard to
get rid of the KGNW QRM. I disconnected the NW EWE and reconnected the
old vertical and now Waltport is alone on 820, as I have a total null on
50 KW KGNW like I used to. Of course cx are not what they once were, but
the DU DX has not been there either the last several years, but the
directivity on the antennas have also changed. I have been wondering
about the 5 ,000 ohms between the grounds too. If the antenna is
disconnected totally it seems to have little effect on the active
antennas. I now the great nulls & lobes I got when I only had the
Eastern beverage and the SW EWE. But the addition of the NE & NW EWEs
has affected things somewhat. The NW EWE I use very little except for
Alaskans. I like having the four antennas as I can phase against each
one, but now disconnecting the NW EWE, I do see a difference in nulls. I
wonder if I should go back to 2 antennas again, the SW EWE and the
Beverage? I have not disconnected the NE EWE as yet as I use that
antenna. But there is interaction between the antennas.
