Thanks for that info Colin. I have been looking for a small HF transceiver
with good MW performance, but there isn't much in depth info on the hams
forums. The 703+ is also a nice looking rig.  Jim - WA1EDN

ICOM 703+
As it turns out, with a Wellbrook ALA100M, it rocks on medium
wave - two bandwidths, band pass tuning, DSP noise reduction
Auto-Het elimination...

Bought it as a 10W All-band all-mode transceiver but the
MW end is turning out to be pretty tasty!

Listening tonight -- conditions slightly auroral.
