Nobody else caught this? The opening seemed to be very geographically
selective, as Jim Renfrew, only 200 miles or so south of me, wasn't getting
much other than France 1557. Signals were still good when I hit the sack
just after 0600z. There was audio on numerous channels that usually yield a
weak het or nothing at all. I haven't tallied it all up yet, but I had
Germany on 1422, 1431, and 1539, France on 1242, 1278, 1377, 1404, 1494, and
1557, Spain on 1026, 1125, 1134, 1143, 1152, 1179, 1287, 1386, 1413, 1476,
1485, 1521, 1575, 1602, and probably some others that I didn't get around to
noting. Many of these are new here, but I haven't sorted it all out yet.
Good fun!
Hmm, maybe I can make a case for investing in an SDR after all...
