George-
The first thing I had to do was look up "collegial" in the dictionary. Anyway, I think your assessment of the various DX lists is quite accurate. The DX one reports is not limited to rare or exotic catches. And, yes, these lists tend to be collegial but, of course, each list has a Moderator who has the right to warn and ultimately ban any user who crosses certain boundaries. That's rare but it does happen.

i folks,
have been an NRC member for years, since around 1962. Back then I did belong
o the IRCA, but let my membership lapse over the years, as I moved back from
alifornia to Virginia. The DX Monitor was great, but I felt it was a little
West centric". I just signed up for these lists and see that the banter is more
ollegial than I am used to. Just for the record, what are the guidelines for
his site? It seems it is not just for "odd or unusual" DX, but to report what
ou are hearing, whether or not it is rare. Would that be about right?
am George A. Santulli in Lovettsville, Virginia, about 50 air miles west of
ashington DC.
hanks!
