Paul;
Unless I hear something otherwise, they have to be who I heard. As I
told you offline about two weeks ago, the calls that I "thought" that I
heard were WRRB and WLRC. Switch out the first R in the first and the C
in the second and you have W-L-R-B. It would be new, or else I would
not pursue it. Thanks.

David:
I haven't heard anything on 1510... all I've got at home is a cloock
radio and I only sit in the car for a few minutes right before/after
Sunset on Friday.
I haven't heard back form my buddy at WLRB, but I will check again thgis
week.
I am betting it probably *IS* WLRB, but don't want to confirm or accuse
anything or anyone til lwe know for sure.

Hi Paul;
Have you heard anything? The wife has been sick, so not much DX

but ***I have not noticed them recently.*** The key question is
if
WLRB's "intended to be oldies to keep the automation alive" has
a female
singing the ID at :27 and :57. I also do not think that it is
NJ or SC.
Since long time DX acquaintance Rick Dau in NE heard them with
Oldies a
few months back, after hours, it sounds like a slam dunk.

Dave,
I will let you know what I find out about WLRB as soon as I hear
from my
friend.

Your hunch is my hunch, too. One of my first "sounded
like" for
the calls was WRRB or WLRC which clearly could've been WLRB.
Please let me know what you find out.

>>Rick,
One of my best friends is the Chief Engineer at Prestige
Radio,
the cluster
of 6 stations in Macomb. WLRB is very clearly talk radio:
http://www.prestigeradio.com/wlrb.html
<http://www.prestigeradio.com/wlrb.html>
What I think is happening is that WLRB has been stuck on
past
sunset because
of an equipment failure and that the automation reverts
back to
the previous
format, Nostalgia/standards. Instead of going on to more
talk
programming,
it's set to go back to music overnight just to keep the
automation running
till sign on the next day.
The Engineer is going to call the Program Director there
tomorrow for me and
find out exactly what happens after hannity is over 5 pm
(per
the program
schedule) and before sign off.
