I remember calling most of the X Banders that had not signed on back
about 2003 or 04 and was told by one station in Texas that was indeed
going to get their X Bander on, as the CE said "Who would not want a
second station?" So at least that CE was going to keep both going. He
probably thought they could find a hoophole in the law. It looks like
some did, but many just shut off the old freq, as 1290-Portland, OR did.
