All times and dates strictly UT. MW log editors are welcome to excerpt items, reformat and change to favorite timezone if necessary. Rx: mostly DX-398 with internal antenna only; some caradio as specified; above 2 MHz on FRG-7 with 110-foot east-west longwire.
** ALASKA. 2750, presumed HAARP: Walt Salmaniw in Victoria, BC: ``Glenn, thanks for the 2750 tip. I'm listening to it right now at 0416 UT [Nov 10]. Very unusual for sure. About every 6 seconds there is a signal that emanates from the carrier and extends out 10 kHz on each side with a rising pitch. On the Perseus waterfall, it looks like an arrowhead. The signal then repeats itself. The carrier never changes, bang on 2750 kHz``.
That`s exactly one of several formats I was hearing the night before around 0700. So I make another quick check on the portable at 0429 Nov 10, and there is a carrier, then off. No time to follow up until 0645, when it was not to be heard (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** MEXICO. 660, funny song about a tiburón, Nov 11 at 1245, then live local DJ at 1246 with TC as 13 para las 6, ``en La Tremenda . . . Delicias``, then TC for 12 para las 6, and then refined to 12 y media para las 6. Show is ``Buenos Días con Miguel Navarro``. So it`s XEACB in Ciudad Delicias, Chihuahua, observing MST of UT -7, so pre-Oct 31 on UT -6 it should have been denoted MDT and not CST.
1000, Nov 11 at 1230, ranchera music in KTOK OKC null. Fits for XEFV, La Rancherita, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, so presumed.
1180, Nov 11 at 1253, harmonious ballad duet by YLs with piano, then added chorus; only ID caught was ``11-80``, and into romantic music by Gardel-like crooner; 1258 losing out to KOIL Omaha Bill Bennett promo. In all probability XEDCH, Ciudad Delicias, Chihuahua, which is ``Romántica 11-80`` per WRTH, and was getting same town a bit earlier on 660, today`s pipeline terminus. Then at 1302 after not so long Mex NA, heard Delicias, Chihua2 and romántico mentioned to clinch it, but not really a sign-on (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 1250, Nov 10 at 1305 UT, ``La Súper Equis, una emisora de Ramírez Spanish Radio``. Here`s an article about it, confirming that identity for KYYS Kansas City KS; where do they get the X? No X in the callsign:

It`s the successor to the late lamented WREN 1250 Topeka. Of course it`s not unusual here, sometimes JBA in the daytime (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
UNIDENTIFIED. TP MW carrier search Nov 10, DX-398 in USB mode from 1310 UT: 747, 828, 945, 972, 1035, 1053, 1134, and at 1316, 1566. The last seems almost strong enough for some audio from FEBC S Korea, but not (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
UNIDENTIFIED. TP MW carrier search Nov 11 at 1218, on the DX-398 in USB mode, 9 kHz steps: 594, 693, 747, 774 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ###
