This was one of those mornings where nothing very interesting was happening, but if you hung around long enough, one or two things did. Was up earlier today, so listed from 1225UT to around 1300, then a couple of brief checks at 1330 and 1430UT; the earlier period was the best (but maybe if I'd listened for half an hour at the other times....?)
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):
594 JOAK briefly this level at 1233UT
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
747 JOIB at 1329; never this "good" earlier
774 JOUB at 1238UT and other times
828 JOBB 828 at 1232UT; very readable, but a bit weak
1566 HLAZ managed this at 1249UT, on the pattern to Japan....and Victoria.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker
just the above, passing through
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
279 R. Rossii
567 seemed //594 earlier on so JOIK
972 HLCA finally out of the murk at 1432UT; strong carrier
1017 CRI //5965 at 1247UT; seemed to be CC language lessons w/man and woman repeating phrases over and over
1287 JOHR?
1476 echoey talk sounded CC, w/SAH on carrier, at 1233UT; this was heard frequently in the spring, and several weeks ago at Haida Gwaii.
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
621, 891, 945, 1008, 1323
best wishes,
Nick
