[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 11-1

Hello All,

The new month brought the best Asian signals for quite a while here,
including a very decent sunrise enhancement (also apparently noted by Walt,
during his 1440 check with the Perseus and ALA 100 loop). Even though
nothing new or rare was heard, it was a refreshing change from the late October
doldrums.
As usual, the TP's were fairly decent around 1300, with the NHK "big
guns' and several other common Asians producing fair-good audio. Unlike
previous days there was no mid-session propagation swoon, however, and signals
stayed fairly stable right up until a pretty decent sunrise enhancement,
which brought 639-CNR1 out of the noise with a fair to good signal. 738-BEL2
also had its signal enhanced up to a good level, and 1566-HLAZ and
1575-VOA came out of the noise. Listening to the 639-CNR1 signal with headphones
allowed detection of the weak, mystery co-channel again (which is not //
with 594 or 1134), with its hollow-sounding Asiatic language speech. Even
though the chances of this IDing this station during the rest of this
lackluster Fall Season seem like slim to none, considering the recent poor
conditions, it's probably best to be thankful for the chance to even have such a TP
mystery in November.

The following were heard on a C. Crane SWP Slider model (7.5"
loopstick), inductively coupled to a 6' sided "nasty weather" PVC tuned passive
loop (in the rainy and windy back yard). A modified ICF-2010 (30" loopstick)
was used as an SSB spotting receiver:
