[IRCA] TP's for 10/13/10

Listen from 1250 to 1435 utc. Things really picked up around 1405.  Opera singing on 819,
but no parallel frequency could be heard at this time on the KCBS network.  Upper channels
here continue to be poor, two powerhouse stations HLAZ or VOA with anemic signals.

279      RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1259 Radio Rossii ID, fair signal.  6 pips at top of hour.
558      JAPAN, JOCR 1408 music then woman in Japanese.
567      JAPAN, JOIK NHK1 1407 weak and // 594.
594      JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1301 fair with man/woman in Japanese.  Good at 1400.
603      REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 1400 pips on the hour, fair.
648      RUSSIA, 1359 weak with music.
657      DPR OF KOREA, 1301 fair with man in Korean.  No // channels were in.
693      JAPAN, JOAB 1304 fair with splatter and // 828. Good at 1405.
702      DPR OF KOREA, 1352-1356 believed the station with woman/man talking.  // 657 not heard at this time.
729      Strong carrier, but Canadian station splatter to heavy for any audio getting through.
774      JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1250-1256 fair to mostly good with Radio English Conversation program.
819      PDR OF KOREA? 1416-1421 weak with opera music and splatter from 820.  No of the //'s were heard.
828      JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1304 weak to fair with Japanese and // 693. Good at 1350.
873      JAPAN, JOGB NHK2 1311 weak at times and // 828.
891      AUSTRALIA,? 1433 sounds like man reading horse racing results? weak fading signal. Jim Beam in the fifth?
1053     KOREA'S, 1347 Jammer dominating channel.
1143     JAPAN,? JOBR 1414 weak with woman in Japanese? 
1566     REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1409 weak with a lot of noise.  Fair at 1410.
1575     THAILAND, VOA 1411 very weak though noise a very words.
