Re: [IRCA] TP's for 08/28/10

Thanks Dennis,

Once again you did a great job at Grayland, and if John B. were still with
us, he would have been very proud of your ULR TP-DXing success.

Yes, I remember very well the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City, only
about 3 blocks from my favorite DXing spot on the beach. Never spent any time
there, but often drove past it-- thinking that the only difference between
those inside and me was that they were pushing their luck with $$, and I
was pushing my luck with DU propagation.

Gary,

Thanks for renewing my interest in the ultralight hobby. During my
next 3 day visit before the IRCA convention, I will run a wire out
into the thick brush that is in between the ocean and cabin. Also
will give the Kiwa loop a try. Mike's Grayland Motel and Cottages
and Ocean Spray Beach Resort both had their no vacancy signs up.
About 2 weeks left and the tourists thin out. I will have to give
Lincoln City a try, in fact I did about 3 weeks ago. Conditions
were bad at the Casino. Hi.

Best Regards,

Dennis,

Hi Dennis,

Thanks very much for your detailed TP-DXing posts from Grayland, using
your
E100 Ultralight with the Space Magnet loop. You did a great job, and the
ULR group is very happy with your TP-DXing success, especially because of
your own enjoyable experience. As you might guess, I also had a quite a
blast
chasing many obscure DU's on Ultralights at Lincoln Beach, Oregon
recently-- two of the most enjoyable hobby experiences I've ever had.

We will look forward to your upcoming DXpedition reports prior to the IRCA

convention next month.
