Yes, quite right Nick, my original unID was on 1089, and Walt's Saudi
on 1098. I happened to have the main Saudi Arabic service and Iran
mixing on 1071 at the same time, and 1089 wasn't parallel to either
one. It could have been the Saudi 2nd program (if it's on at that
hour), but Walt's 1098 is a victim of IBOC here, so couldn't check
that. Your option of Iran is still a possibility, as I've noted
before not all the listed freqs are necessarily in parallel.

Hmmm, my 2009 WRTH lists it at 20 kw, and EMWG at 10 kw, so, who
knows, Walt...but hold on, wasn't your unID 1098, and Nigel's 1089?
(I was following Nigel's thread, hi, so my query about Iran still
stands...)
As for parallels, 1089, 1098 and 1116 were all heard in Doha (and 783
is most powerful of the network, also heard), but the second program
is listed as being off at 2200UT, so I assumed that after then, the
regular Arabic service was being broadcast. I still have the
recordings somewhere if that needs checking.
best wishes,
Nick

Hi, Nick. It certainly wasn't // to other IRIB 1st program
channels, and
there were plenty of those audible. I posted it on Real DX and both
Vlad in
Ukraine and Chuck here ID'd it as Saudi...5 kw listed, but sure
sounds a lot
more. 2nd program apparently. Anyone know if there were any // MW
channels
to hear? .......Walt
