Thanks to Gary and Patrick for the encouragement and suggestions! I
looked at the two parks on my way back in today, and unfortunately they
both open at 6 am, which is already after sunrise here, so I think I will
try where I was again to see if the DX (and the weather) is a little
better tomorrow.
PS - I brought along a "Rite in the Rain" notebook this trip and am glad I
did: highly recommended for all who venture out to the ocean...
