Hi Gary,

Thanks for posting the MP3s. On the 585 recording, the meat of the possible
ID is between 2:18.3 and 2:20.5, a mere two and a half seconds! However, I'm
90% sure I'm hearing the male announcer with an Aussie accent, and in
English as you mentioned.

I've listened to it over and over, at 0.7x the original playback speed (with
pitch adjustment, in Total Recorder Pro). As best as I can make out, I'm
hearing:  "..news... ..??EB...Halpern (or "Melbourne")"   That's it! It's a
real tough audio segment to understand. I hope another DXer can make out
more details.

The most promising clues that it's 585 2WEB is the Aussie accent and the
"..EB" partial callsign that I might be hearing.

A very nice DU catch on an ultralight, whatever it really was, Gary!
