KSJX runs 10 KW days and 5 KW nights. They get out quite well. It's not unusual during DX season for them to be heard during the middle of the day in Santa Barbara (where I am), 300 miles away. KZSF-1370 diplexes from that site.

Normally quiet 1500 was active for about 10 minutes with single signal with Oriental, probably Chinese, faded once for a few minutes and returned one more time to peak very weakly and disappear again. The log came up with KSJK San Jose,Ca. doing ethnic programs. It was the first time here for that one. I guess the 1000 watts for night power doesn't make it this far north all the time. Regulations are probably still in effect for them to stay out of this area in case a Canadian wants to activate the frequency here on the west coast. Bill in BC
