An odd mix this morning, especially as there were two listening periods, one at 1230UT, and the other at 1530. The former was generally more productive. There wasn't a lot of evidence of a sunrise signal boost.
pretty darn good audio, at least briefly (all of it understandable by a native speaker)
639 CNR-1 //5030 earlier; much worse at 1530UT
774 JOUB
reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker,
though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 JOAK
747 JOIB, only during the earlier period
828 JOBB
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker
567 JOIK //594 earlier only
603 HLSA pop mx //558 earlier only
621 CC talk; earlier
711 likely HLKA; earlier
738 unID. SAH scrambled up talk, making it unrecognizable ; earlier
675 likely Vietnam, but at 1530 only
936 likely China, also heard later
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :
558 HLQH //603 earlier only
972 likely HLCA earlier and later
1008 messy w/ low hum; earlier
1566 earlier (during JJ program)
1575 later, think it was VoA
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
none
best wishes,
Nick
best wishes,
Nick
