[IRCA] TPs for this morning - there was some fizz in the cola
This morning's DX wasn't as good as yesterday's, but it wasn't a total
disaster either. It may indeed have been like yesterday's cola, but
someone at least remembered screw the cap back on the bottle, thus
keeping some of the fizz intact.
The most interesting thing was what sounded like Japanese on 756, it
definitely wasn't Chinese and didn't sound like Korean. And definitely
not the Russian Patrick reported. The lower part of the dial was sort
of OK, but there wasn't much above 1000 except for a few piddly
carriers, some with substandard audio.
Here's what I recorded 1220-1510
Good audio, at least for a short while. A native speaker could have
followed most of it.
972 Korea
Fair audio, even it if was brief. A native speaker could have
recognized words or phrases
594 JOAK, OK at times but mostly just mumbling
657 NK, briefly
639 CNR1
693 JOAB
738 Taiwan at 1320, by 1345 it was much weaker and sounded more like the
Korean
774 JOIB
774 JOUB
828 JOBB
963 CRI (briefly)
Marginal audio, could tell if it was talking or music, but generally not
comprehendible
549 Russia, chimes & 6 pips at 1300
558 Korea
603 unid
612 Japan //594
621 unid
675 unid
756 NHK1?
783 unid
855 N Korea
918 China
936 China
1134 very briefly w/music
1287 JOHR briefly
1422 Japan
1566 HLAZ
Carriers, some may have had bits of real or imagined audio
