I am still lighting a fire under Qwest to get DSL out here. They quoted
me $1500 to bring it to my house even though it is available a mile down
the road. Cable I don't want because of the RFI. I just don't trust it,
even though it is $55 a month unlimited, if I remember correctly. You
are right Verizon wireless is also $55 a month for the 5 G, or 25G for
$75 or something like that. But still more spendy than I want. The
beauty of a laptop is I coud go into Seaside or Astoria and use free
wifi's as they are everyhere. Plus I would have the portability I don't
have now. I need to call Qwest again as they have been working on the
lines a lot of late and maybe, just maybe we might get DSL out here in
the future if we don't have it now. :-)
