[IRCA] Puyallup, WA TP's for 10-21...Great Again
Hello All,
After the highly unpredictable TA's of last night, it was nice to have the
TP's rise up on cue for an orderly sunrise peak around 1420 :-)
Most of the morning was spent listening to the 1170 kHz KBS-KPUG mix (and
the mystery Indian language station, identified by Bruce as the highly
exotic KLOK), but having discovered that domestic frequencies have some easily
logged TP's, I decided to try for some more.
540 kHz was another frequency where I had never logged TP's, but around
1412 this morning there seemed to be two of them mixing together. The Chinese
CNR1 was fairly easy copy, but another TP co-channel seemed to be there,
despite the noisy domestic QRM on the frequency (possibly the strong NHK1
station noted by Walt). I'll try to replay the MP3, and sort out the mix.
Thanks again to Walt, Nick, Bruce, Patrick and Nigel for your constant TA
updates last night-- using the hot-rodded C.Crane SWP ultralight and the 9'
box loop, I was able to log the new TA's of 675-Holland and 693-BBC, as
well as the almost daily visitor 1134-Croatia. There were many other strong
carriers like 747, 756, 765 and 1377-- maybe tonight will be the night for
them?
