A good question, J.D.   There was no "sign on" that I was aware of, and at that time, it's supposed to be broadcasting the domestic first program, and that's what I paralleled.   There was so much coming in that night, that I just stumbled across it at that time.   I'll have to look for the carrier earlier (or check a remote receiver somewhere nearby).   The carrier did seem to turn up late this evening also, but I'm only now catching up on old messages (too much DXing).
