[IRCA] TP Carriers this A.M. in N. Alabama ??
JD-
On another DX list, Bruce Conti, on DXpedition on Prince Edward Island, reported the following:
Japan-693 hrd Oct 6 0840 UTC //774 kHz.
So. Korea-963 Oct 6 0950 UTC //972 kHz.
So, you are correct. TP DX is possible from the East Coast - in this case the east coast of Canada.

With the amazing TA activity that's been cropping up in recent days, I thought I'd start checking to see if any TP activity could be detected at my QTH here in North Alabama.
Even thought this would be more difficult, I believe that TP reception here is possible, especially due to the fact that one of the big gun Japanese stations was heard by several DXers in the Central and Eastern U.S. last year.
I did a scan of frequencies at around 1130 UTC this morning for the higher powered East Asians, and did note a moderate carrier on 747, as well as a weak-but-steady carrier on 774. Although there's no way to tell if this was Japan or even something Trans-Pacific, this certainly bears watching.
I would encourage all DXers - especially those in the Central and Eastern U.S. - to start checking for TPs (and TAs), and post their results here, on the DXtips listserver, or log onto the MWDX chat room to post results real-time.
