[IRCA] New Station last night.....1090 KMXA Aurora, COLORADO................
Hi Guys:
Logged a NEW STATION last night thanks to a Tip from SAUL CHERNOS of
TORONTO.
This is only my 2nd Station ever logged from COLORADO...and is NEW to
both the ULR LOG and the OVERALL LOG.
I actually heard this same station last March ....but was unable to
positively ID it......until hearing it again last night. There was a
strong assumption back in March that it was this station.......but it
took another appearance to confirm it was actually them. Very happy to
add this one to the Logbooks!!
Radio Used was.......................SONY SRF-T615
Antenna used was.....................2 1/2 Foot Tunable Box Loop.
ULR TOTALS are now............681 Stations Heard.

Mexican flavored Music and Spanish Vocals at tune in 0056-0100 edt. Male
DJ spoke
Spanish...partial ID heard at this time that later was heard with FULL
ID as " KXPK
La Tri-Color-Novento Seis Punto Cinco". More SS Vocals and Accordion Music
0101-0104. Jingles @ 0104. Continuous SS Vocals/Accordions/Brass Music til
0129 then Same ID as above in SS by Male DJ. Same Vocals and Music til
0201 edt
then a Nice CLEAR ID as "KXPK La Tri-Color Novento Seis Punto Cinco".
This Station Transmits in PARALLEL to it's Sister Station KXPK 96.5 FM.
I also was
able to listen to the Live Web Feed for KXPK 96.5......and it was indeed
in // to KMXA
albeit a little behind the On Air KMXA. Glad to finally lay this one to
rest!!
I assume they were on DAY POWER of 50 KW????
