[IRCA] Puyallup, WA TP's for 8-25... Like September
Hello All,
A trace of the great Asian TP conditions reported by John and Walt showed
up here also, for the first time this month. The "hit and run" DU peak of
the previous days was also not in evidence, as Tahiti-738 and all the other
DU's never came up to close to audio level.
Listening from 1245-1300 on the modified ICF-2010 only (was too sleepy to
play with the huge loops), JOAK-594 and JOIB-747 had good audio, as well as
several other Asian powerhouses. Good carriers were heard on various other
Asian TP frequencies.
The conditions this morning were similar to September's typical TP
propagation, but at weaker signal levels. Like the regular September propagation
here in Puyallup, the DU carriers this morning were at very anemic levels,
and post-sunrise enhancement didn't give them much of a boost. The strange
"hit and run" DU peaks here during the past week may be going away, as
Puyallup reverts to its typical "DU Dead Zone" status :>)
73, Gary
