[IRCA] TPs Galore: Orcas Island, August 25th
Had more than 30 in audio this AM. Again, most just at threshold and
all but a few were East Asian. There were quite a few interesting
East Asians: 567 that may not of been JOIK, Sapporo. It was just up
briefly, but it sounded CC to me. 603 was clearly Chinese at 1245.
621, I had multiple off-channel carriers. 738: Traces of audio, but
with a clear hummmm on both sides of the carrier, not IBOC hash. 819
was CNR1 @ 1307; 612, 891 and 1512 were DUs late at 1315. 1305 was
CC, probably CNR2. 1143 was probably Taiwan, as was 738. 1575 VOA
was huge at TOH, best of the season. The usual JJ and KK Big Guns were in, too.
So far this season, it seems that there are a lot more persistent CCs
than the last couple of years, this early in the season. I hsave been
on at 1245 at the earliest (with LSR around 1315 and things have
already been booming in. Gotta get up 15 minutes earlier!
What fun. Wish I was at Grayland.
