Just gave radio station KVNS1700 a call and the man I talked to said they have ABC news at the top of the hour.   

He said that he was surprised that the station made it up to your area.  He also mentioned that they get  

reports from Europe.   The man said that they were 880 watts at night.   Nice catch Bill, congratulations.

Tuning into the X band last night and trying for 1710 I drew a blank there but one space back on 1700 I heard some 50's and 60's rock music coming in on a shaky and fluctuating signal. Could not get an I D but did catch the ABC network news at the 11pm TOH.The only listed station on 17 is one in Texas putting out a mighty 880 watts at night down from 8800 daytime.The San Diego Business station was not in at this time.Could it have been the Tex or was I getting a recently started new station? Anyone out there with info? Thanks.Bill in Vic BC
