[IRCA] Regarding West Coast powerhouse stations
Up here in extreme Norcal, I frequently have trouble hearing KNBR in the wintertime. Slop from KBOI - 670 and even the the 2 690s often drown it out. KBOI is in here like a local.
KGO is never weak. However, KCBS on 740 is usually as poor as KNBR.
None of the LA stations come in that well. The Mighty 1090 can either be a border blaster or buried in the muck.
KOMO dominates it's frequency. The 2 690s take turns, depending on CX. Usually, the Vancouver one wins, though sometimes, they are both buried in a sea of muck out of which nothing will surface for very long.
Who can explain this? Why would one station out of SF be rock solid on 810, while 2 other stations with lower frequencies are struggling to be heard?
